Fishing & Boating Products
Tuff Tackle have the best rods and reels I have seen and the good bit is they are assembled in Melbourne from parts manufactured here, in Japan and China. Maintaining good quality control of the product is a key factor says Tuff Tackle owner Simon Ball, we are sick of hearing from fishermen that tell us they paid a small fortune for other major branded products only to have them strip a gear in the reel due to poor manufacturing and virtually no quality control. We are key believers that if you make a product it has to be of the highest quality and that your reputation is based on product quality, service and price. We stand right behind all our products and look forward to a long relationship with the River to Reef TV show. This is a good place for all to see how good our range is and how our products stand up. www.tufftackle.com.au
High Quality Tackle At Cheaper Than Shop Prices

Having rods and reels is one thing but not much use unless you have line and terminal tackle to match. Rig Master Tackle is passionate about fishing and again was sick and tired of poor quality high priced tackle and decided to do something about it. They searched the world for high quality low priced products for all fishermen. Keeping costs down and quality up for the end user was a major factor says Dean from Rig Master, as a keen angler myself I know just how much you can spend in a tackle store to feed your passion, one of the ways we keep costs low is we don’t have a store front, all our products are here in our on-line store, we have thousands of members who benefit by purchasing from us direct, its free to become a member, just join on-line and we offer heavy discounts, you will be surprised how much you save. We have members who tell us they will never buy from a retail shop again. www.RigMasterTackle.com
The Perfect Fishing Shirt

At last a 24/7 loose fitting 50% UV reduction fishing shirt in a range of coulours. Keen ‘fishos’, boaters and campers Robbie and Susan Wells were sick of the clothing options available that offered adequate sun protection. The traditional wet shirt of rashies were too clingy, restrictive, unflattering and so hot when dry. The alternative was the large pocketed cotton fishing type shirt which proved very uncomfortable when wet. Eight months, 30 fabrics and countless sunburns later, they have come up with a new generation high performance fabric. It offers 50+ UV protection (UVP) in all colours, can be worn wet or dry and is certified by the Australian body governing UV testing. These are the first wet and dry leisure shirts available anywhere. The Fishculture 50+ UVP shirt has a fish measurer on the sleeve to check your catch & there is a range of coulours. The other is Sun2Sea 50+ outdoor leisure shirt. www.sun2sea.com.au

Honda unleashes next generation V6 outboards
Honda’s flagship outboard series – the BF175/200/225 – has undergone a series of minor model changes which will continue to push the boundaries in achieving the world’s highest standard in outboard performance.
The latest generation of large-displacement V6 four-stroke EFI outboards has been reworked and refined to deliver more torque, even greater fuel efficiency, incorporate NMEA 2000 compatibility (engine-to-electronics data communication) and other advantages.
Honda Australia marine manager Chris Schultz said the new BF175/200/225 ‘AK1′ was driven by Honda’s desire to “continually achieve best-in-class performance”.
“Never satisfied with maintaining the status quo, Honda solicited honest opinions from BF175/200/225 customers all over the world as to how this flagship series could be even further improved,” Mr Schultz said.
“Honda engineers have reworked these engines to deliver satisfaction way beyond consumer expectations, with holeshot performance that’s equivalent to higher-rated horsepower outboards and fuel efficiency that’s second to none.”
The incorporation of Honda’s revolutionary Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST™) air/fuel ratio linked ignition timing control technology delivers explosive hole shot performance to get boats on the plane quicker than ever. Activated by sudden throttle movement, BLAST makes available the greatest amount of torque at the precise moment it’s required.
Reducing fuel consumption by five per cent over the previous BF175/200/225 was achieved by adopting a combination of an O2 feedback system and simple lean burn system – a first in the outboard industry. Known as ECOmo (Economy Controlled Motor), the system is activated when the engine is in mid-range cruising rpm and the throttle is steady. Extensive testing concludes the resultant fuel efficiency is equivalent to that of Honda’s BF150 linear air-fuel (LAF) lean burn system.
Among other notable changes, a new gearcase – with a dramatically more hydrodynamic profile – reduces water resistance and improves acceleration, and a new water intake screen provides better cooling for maximum motor efficiency. A freshly-designed anti-cavitation plate also reduces engine splash, while additional sacrificial anodes ensure increased corrosion resistance for extended durability.
A number of other minor model changes have improved the rigging and maintenance of the engines at the dealer service level.
